Warm ups for triplets
Hi, can anyone suggest a fun exercise for our adult community choir, to teach them how to sing triplets accurately please? Thanks.

Making Music
Thinking of joining the organization Making Music - can anyone tell me their experiences? is it worthwhile? Hope it would make things straightforward when planning any sort of choir event.
Happy New Year!

Audio recordings
Some of my community choir have requested that an audio recording is made of our concert next week. This is purely for our own use, to share on our WhatsApp group, so that we can hear what we sound like as a choir and hopefully learn from it. Can anyone help me with the legalities of making an audio recording (without filming)? Do I need to have all the singers' permission? What about copyright for the pieces we are singing?
Any help welcome!
Thank you very much.
Alison

Copyright Connundrum
We've been asked to sing a song from a recently-released movie at a ticketed concert. The organisers have sent us scores which they have arranged themselves and, when I asked if they had the correct permissions in place, responded that 'we don't need permission to arrange it as it's covered under the PRS for live performance'.
This does not chime with my understanding of the situation (perhaps I am overly cautious?) and I would welcome your guidance. Thank you

SA songs of Great Britain and Ireland
In 2024 Inner Wheel will celebrate 100 years. I am hoping to put together a choir from members throughout Great Britain and Ireland for a Convention at Manchester which will be attended by members from all round the world. (Inner Wheel began in Manchester when 27 Rotarian wives started a Club for women. It is now present in 109 countries.) There will be approx 2000 attending. Can anyone suggest songs for SA to represent each corner of GB and I? I think there will be 30 to 40 in the choir. However, logistically the practices will be difficult to hold. I think we will only manage two live practices as potential choir members have signed up from Kent and places in between up to Aberdeen. Hence, deciding to just have two part harmony. I’d be interested in suggestions.

Audacity
I have found what I need.It is free, it can change speed and change key.Rudolph too high for altos no prob, jingle bells too fast no problem.I wish I had known about this months ago...and as I mentioned it is a free computer programme. My choir now have a chance with their 3 xmas songs for friends

Comments about dislike of warm up
So I've been running my choir for over five years now and it's going well. However I have a little friendship group ( two or three people), in one section, who are very vocal about their dislike of the warm up. Mostly I've dealt with it by being upbeat, explaining the purpose, making sure I keep it bright and varied, using the analogy strategy like not expecting to do a marathon without warming up. But hey it still continues. I'm feeling it's actually disrespectful and that probably by allo…
I'm feeling it's actually disrespectful and that probably by allowing it to be handled and accepted as light hearted banter, I have 'made a rod for my own back'. Having just revisited your difficult situation training I'm feeling having deliberated that I need to take action. Any suggestions of how others have dealt with similar or other ideas would be gratefully received. Thanks .
